I guess all parents know this,
but I had no idea,
that most of life’s enjoyment
comes from watching someone else’s;
Laughing at some hoary joke
that has a bit of tread left,
Being around an old pal
and “remember that time we got caught?,”
playing a newly-minted song
with a bit of the old magic.
In fact, I’d say it’s ninety percent.
I’m giving Isaac your Baby Blue.
